Greetings From Epiphany!
Dear Friends,
Thank you and congratulations! The thank-you goes to Marilisa Gabresi-Deleveaux and her husband, A.B. After decades leading the gala, Peter Keating handed off the baton, and we tried something new, a play. Each of the four short acts was a huge success, and no one did more to make that happen than A.B. & Marilisa. In addition, Chazzie Henderson did a great job not only in leading the dancers but also serving as MC along with Kendall Van Allen, and Jen Daly was back with the choir, a role she had from Day One. From start to finish, the gala was a wonderful night for the kids as well as a terrific shot-in-the-arm for the school financially. Again and again, thank you to everyone who made it possible
Congratulations also to this year’s 8th grade, which has racked up nearly $2M in scholarships from their new high schools. They have put in long hours over the years here at Epiphany. Their parents and their teachers have worked hard too, and the results are inspiring!
Finally, you who are reading this also deserve a thank-you and congratulations. Thank you for ALL you to do to help, and congratulations on the impact you are making here at Epiphany!
Your Grateful Fan,
The Rev. John H. Finley IV
Partner Spotlight
Boston City Singers
We are delighted to highlight Boston City Singers in the Partner Spotlight this month. A truly wonderful nonprofit based here in Dorchester, Boston City Singers provides music education and performance opportunities to over 300 local students every year. Singers, grouped by age and level, develop progressive mastery of skills with children from backgrounds different than their own, engaging hearts and minds during critical after-school hours. We are proud to host their weekly rehearsals here on our campus and excited that next year, the Tour Choir (who rehearse at Epiphany on Tuesday evenings) will be traveling to South Africa! They have also been loyal sponsors of our annual Gala for years, and we are deeply grateful for their partnership. Thank you, Boston City Singers!

Learning is Cool: Epiphany Curriculum Highlights
Heart Dissection Anyone?
Our 7th graders dissected sheep hearts to reinforce their understanding of the heart's structure and function as part of their unit focused on human body systems. Students worked in pairs, carefully examining the different chambers, valves, and blood vessels of the heart. They identified key anatomical features and discussed how blood flows through the heart, linking this hands-on experience to their classroom learning about the heart and cardiovascular system. Here’s what Jeremy had to say about his experience:
"It was cool dissecting a sheep's heart. It’s wild that I could hold a real heart and look into how it worked inside. I’ve never inspected a heart before, and there were several things that I learned. For example, there are strings on the interior of the heart that allow the valves to open and close. Another thing I learned about the heart is how diseases can be located in the ventricles."
Early Learning Center Corner
Our youngest learners have been busy! With the arrival of beautiful weather, they have been spending even more time in the outdoor classrooms. We are lucky to have so much natural space here in the city.
Epiphany News
Bravo to the Actors!
On Friday, May 3, the Epiphany community came together to celebrate the Spring Gala. This year’s program consisted of telling the Epiphany story through a four-act play; Loyalty: A Day in the Life of Epiphany School. Our young actors, dancers, and singers worked hard to open a window into Epiphany. We are immensely grateful to everyone who contributed to making the Spring Gala such an unforgettable experience.
In case you couldn’t join us for the show, here are a few pictures…A video will be available soon.
