College Grads Welcome

Epiphany’s teaching fellowship is a 2-3 year apprenticeship for recent college graduates. Fellows support all aspects of the middle school program with the option to specialize in preparation for future careers with youth and education.

Fellows teach small reading groups, assist lead teachers in subject area classes, coach sports, run extracurricular activities, supervise study hall, and advise and mentor students. In their second year, the teaching fellowship program allows the flexibility for many participants to specialize in preparation for future careers. Many are invested in teaching and work to earn their master’s in education and state certification.

Nine lead teachers at Epiphany today are former fellows. Other teaching fellows pursue other specialties: counseling and social services, environmental sustainability and greenhouse/gardening, kitchen and nutrition, technology support, operations management, and athletics. Current fellows are specializing in all of these areas, and the fellowship program remains flexible in order to best support Epiphany’s students and program and to enable the future careers of these dedicated and highly-skilled urban educators.
