Active Involvement
Parents, guardians, and other significant relations are actively involved in the school
All parents commit to working at the school for 2 hours each week (preparing meals, carpooling, cleaning, tutoring, answering phones, helping in the library, etc.).
Epiphany hosts regular parent meetings, and several parents of former students serve on Epiphany’s Board of Trustees.
Families are invited to all major school events and to join the students for dinner during the weeknights.
Parents are encouraged to call or meet with teachers about their child’s progress, are frequently called by teachers, and receive weekly updates from the Principal.
Weekend homework folders must be signed by parents who review the homework their children complete.
Families are required to attend five scheduled meetings per year at the school.
Epiphany has hosted programs with the Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance (MAHA), employment agencies such as Strive and Career Collaborative, as well as seminars to teach families about things like the earned income tax credit and MassHealth.
