Kids Can Cook
Kids Can Cook provides inner-city youth from Boston middle schools with an innovative and educational out-of-school experience that teaches important life skills through the art and science of cooking and nutrition. Classes are taught by trained professionals in an industrial kitchen designed especially for the students. Classes are kept small–typically 10-12 students–to maximize individual attention, encourage active participation by all students, foster cooperation and teamwork, and maintain maximum level of safety. The final outcome of each class is the preparation of a healthy, well-balanced meal that the students bring home to share with their families.
